Smartify Media is proud to sponsor Project Place's annual Climb for a Cause event at Fenway Park, bringing real-world visibility to a mission that continues to make an impact across Greater Boston.
Smartify has supported Climb for a Cause since the event's inception, helping raise awareness for a mission that continues to make a meaningful impact across Greater Boston. What began as a community fundraiser has grown into an annual tradition that brings together participants, supporters, sponsors, and local organizations in support of Project Place and its work to help individuals experiencing homelessness and poverty build pathways toward employment and long-term stability.
Climb for a Cause encourages the community to take steps in support of individuals experiencing homelessness and poverty. The event raises awareness and funds for Project Place's mission to create a community of hope and opportunity by providing the skills, education, and resources needed to obtain and sustain employment and housing. For Smartify, supporting this event reflects the purpose behind our Community+ program: helping nonprofit organizations and charitable initiatives extend their message into the real-world environments.
Held at Fenway Park, Climb for a Cause gives participants a chance to experience one of Boston's most iconic venues in a completely different way.
Participants can choose their challenge, whether pushing themselves on the Move Course, taking a slower pace on the Mosey Course, or cheering on climbers from the sidelines. The event also includes food, photo opportunities with Wally and Tessie, and moments that bring the community together outside the traditional game-day experience.
This year, Smartify was featured among the event sponsors on Fenway signage, reinforcing the connection between community visibility, local partnerships, and meaningful action.
For nonprofits, awareness is often the first step toward action. People need to see the mission, understand the need, and feel connected to the opportunity to help.
Digital out-of-home media can play an important role in that process. By bringing nonprofit messages into real-world environments, organizations can reach people beyond inboxes, social feeds, and traditional digital ads. The result is visibility that feels more connected to the places and communities the organization serves.
Through Community+, Smartify helps mission-driven organizations create that connection. Whether promoting an event, encouraging donations, supporting registration, or building broader awareness, real-world media can help nonprofits show up in moments that matter.
The need remains significant. In 2026, the climb featured 2,122 stairs, one for every individual currently experiencing homelessness in Boston. Each step serves as a reminder of the challenges many people face and the opportunities organizations like Project Place work to create every day.
Through employment programs, education, job readiness support, and community resources, Project Place helps individuals move toward greater economic independence and stability. Climb for a Cause helps generate both awareness and critical funding to support that work.
Smartify is honored to support Project Place year after year. Through our Community+ program and the Smartify Boston network, we have helped amplify awareness for the event since its early years, connecting the campaign with local audiences throughout the city. The campaigns run across the Smartify Boston network leading up to the event, helping encourage participation, fundraising, and community engagement.
Project Place works to support individuals experiencing homelessness and poverty by helping them build pathways toward employment, housing, and long-term stability. Climb for a Cause brings that mission to life by inviting the Greater Boston community to participate, fundraise, and champion meaningful change.
Smartify is proud to support Project Place and the work they do to create opportunity across the community.
As media continues to evolve, the value of real-world attention remains clear. For causes that depend on awareness, participation, and community support, visibility can help turn a message into momentum.
